Vladimir Lazarevik MD, MPH
Founder and CEO

Vladimir Lazarevik is founder and CEO of www.healthgrouper.com. He first initiated Healthgrouper as idea with vision to develop unique web based platform as online meeting point where: healthcare consumers in SEE can easily find, select and recommend best healthcare providers; doctors and dentists can promote services they provide thus making their work transparent and closer to the patients; unemployed doctors and dentists may present their qualifications and more easily find jobs.

Soon after, initial idea developed towards research oriented organization. In 2013, Vladimir together with his colleagues legally established Healthgrouper as non for profit research organization. In March 2014 Vladimir left full time employment at the Faculty of Medicine and became completely devoted to the development of Healthgrouper as leading regional health policy and health systems research organization. 

In 2014 under his leadership Healthgrouper was won two research grants in total amount of around 200 000 USD$.

At present Healthgrouper employs and contracts seventeen researchers and administrative staff from Macedonia, Albania, Serbia and Kosovo.

Vladimir, at Healthgrouper is responsible for day-to-day operations of the organization, research, strategic development, and establishing new partnerships. He is main author of all research reports published by Healthgrouper. He participates at international conferences and is lead author to scientific papers published over the research activities.

Prior founding www.healthgrouper.com, Lazarevik served various positions at World Bank projects, International Organization for Migration and Project Hope. He was Deputy Minister of Health in the Government of the Republic of Macedonia 2006/2008.

Since 2006 Vladimir was actively involved in the work of the World Health Organization for Europe as member of the Standing Committee of the Regional Committee (SCRC) of WHO Europe (2007-2010) and Executive President for the sixtieth session of the Regional Committee of WHO Europe. Lazarevik holds MPH degree from Hebrew University, Braun School of Public Health and Community Medicine in Jerusalem, Israel.
